Welcome. I am the owner of the Sturgis Hitchin' Post, and your wedding officiant. I will prepare and perform your ceremony, and will personally handle every detail. I have had the honor of performing many weddings and all kinds of ceremonies: traditional, religious, large, small, simple, indoors, outdoors, even a "full moon" wedding. I love creating beautiful ceremonies. I am very interested in the success of your ceremony. and ultimately the success of your marriage. More importantly, as a Reiki Master and alternative counselor/life coach, my hope is that your ceremony will ultimately contribute to the long term well-being of your relationship. I would love the opportunity to visit with you about your wishes and desires.

I would love to visit with you and learn what you would like to experience. Some couples prefer to use one of the ceremonies we have on hand. Some have particular ideas, and ask me to research and help them create a ceremony. Others give me information, and ask me to incorporate poems, stories and music. I love it when you share ideas, such as "how you met", funny or touching times in your lives, favorite poems or readings and special music.

Many of the weddings I perform are during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. For this particular occasion, most couples seem to prefer a more simple ceremony, very stress-free, leaving the details to me. Most couples are surprised to learn how with just a few email or phone conversations with me, we can create a very personalized and fun wedding or renewal of vows. Even in the craziness of the rally, we are able to create a beautiful, meaningful, stress-free ceremony.

All of our ceremonies include as much time as we need in the days before your ceremony to pick the perfect words and vows. Also, I will print your ceremony on lovely paper, so you can take with you all the words and vows you shared with each other on this very special day.

My husband and I own J&J Optical (click here to visit our website) located right here in Downtown Sturgis. Harley Davidson is our neighbor. Our little ceremony room is housed inside our optical shop. This is a huge advantage, since we are always here, always available to discuss your plans.

Some couples prefer to walk across the parking lot and experience their wedding at HD! But most prefer the cool, quiet comfort of our ceremony room. After the nice ceremony, couples go out onto Main Street, and celebrate downtown!
